• When we walked into the 1928 bungalow style home we felt in love with many original details but the interiors looked outdated and ready for a face lift. The young family of 4 owned the house for a couple of years before deciding to tackle multiple projects which included space planing and design concepts to maximize storage of books, records, family photos and such. The scope of the project was to deliver a stylish, functional, overall fresh vibe for the family to enjoy while making memories.

  • After moving our family to a Chicago suburb from Detroit, we fell in love with the charms of a 1920 English cottage-style home. The house needed updates and improvements overall the floor plan including increasing opportunities for natural lights to come into the dark home. To remedy the situation, we introduced a new color palette and lighting selection, turned the sunroom at the back of the house (a 1980s addition) into a kitchen and converted the old kitchen into an everyday dining room right next to a cozy family room adjacent the wet bar area, also reconfigured the original formal dining room into a hallway and laundry/mudroom.

  • Our largest kitchen remodel yet, this kitchen, pantry, mudroom and laundry renovation was inspired by a trip to the South of France. Our clients came to us through an Instagram post and were thrilled to work together to renovate their older home for a more functional, and beautiful, space for their family. The original floor plan was choppy and unified, which we used to our advantage to create functional work rooms while opening up the kitchen and dining areas. Our clients had a long list of needs, like a cathedral ceiling and access to the side entry, which we were able to navigate through careful space planning. To keep things feeling cohesive, sourced complimentary materials through each space, differentiating them through custom details. Our clients are thrilled with the new floor plan and we will forever adore the bespoke quality of this home.

  • When clients hired reDesign home their scope of the project was to create a space that could allow the family to gather during meal prepping, entertaining and create wonderful memories. Their main concern was the scale of the original kitchen. Upper cabinetry and appliances were not proportionally sized compare to the large kitchen space, the island featured an odd shape and did not allow for enough sittings, the pantry door located in the butler pantry was limiting for an easy traffic flow and use of the space; also the window by sink area was lacking interest. We reconfigured the pantry door by having direct access from the kitchen and dedicated a separate bar area in the butler pantry. Also introduced a focal point with a large built-in hood over cook station to create a balance with the family room fireplace located opposite to the kitchen. The island became not only larger to allow enough sitting but a unique element in the space due to the introduction of unique finishes and design, also the window was highlighted with the introduction of mill work that connected design elements throughout the kitchen/bar.

  • Our lake house homeowners appreciate a more modern aesthetic, so we made design choices that worked within their tastes, while also incorporating our signature elements evoking classic and cozy style. Over the course of nearly two years, we worked with our clients through every phase of the home's construction and design to ensure their one-of-kind custom home exceeded every expectation. Although the home’s more remote location in Michigan presented some unique challenges during construction, the additional investment proved well worth it. The final result is elevated, modern, warm and inviting.

  • A gorgeous 1900 home located in the hart of River Forest outside Chicago needed for 2 bathrooms a much deserved face lift by introducing new finishes an improved layout. While the goal was to preserve original architectural features, the homeowner preferred modern and clean lines. Therefor by combining a timeless color palette as per black and white and brass accents via plumbing fixtures and some of the original lighting we juxtaposition a traditional design, original to the house, with the introduction of contemporary elements.
